A couple
and two friends from Poland visited Havana. They came with their happiness and
the intention to meet as much as possible. Each day was a long tour that
started a 7:00 am and lasted late.
The Cannon
Ceremony in San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress welcomed them with the exact 9:00
o´clock shoot despite the impertinent rain.
For the morning
of the second day Old Havana received them and their curiosity that never
stopped asking questions about our life, manners, traditions and spirit. The
afternoon took us to the modern part of
the city and the amazing watching spot of the Revolution Square.
The last
day we run away from the ancient noisy city to the western part of the Island.
An old car with a powerful engine drove us to Viñales. Green, beauty, and
wonderful surprises appeared every where. On the way back we stopped in Las
Terrazas, (about 40 km from Havana) and went swimming in San Juan river. It was
almost night, but still had time for some Cuban salsa in “La Gruta”.
Henryk was
the tour leader and the happiest person I´ve ever met. His solidarity and
generosity made him get closed to common people in a very spontaneous way.
